APPRENTICESHIPS
Almost 90% of UK employers report benefits to their business of hiring apprentices.
Hiring apprentices gives you the opportunity to develop employees from the outset. Your apprentices will be hand picked to suit your business and by identifying gaps in your business we can pair you with young people eager for personal development and to take the first steps within their career.
As apprenticeships are backed by government schemes, they are a great way to reduce the cost of bringing in new talent to your business. Apprentice wages start from the national minimum of £4.81 per hour and there are no associated recruitment fees for placing an apprentice within your workplace.
Whether its business growth, diversifying your workforce, planning or a passion for nurturing new talent, we will provide the perfect apprenticeship solution for you.
TRAINING
EPP Group continue to work with a number of UK leading training providers to deliver training for a wide range of qualifications. Our training partners have highly skilled teams of assessors and trainers based at a number of locations across London and the South east as well as our very own training rooms based in Canary Wharf.

UNDERSTANDING LEVY
APPRENTICESHIP LEVY
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PAY
THE LEVY?
Both public and private UK employers with a payroll bill of over £3 million a year will need to pay the Levy.
HOW MUCH IS THE
LEVY?
WHEN DOES IT EXPIRE?
It’s set at a rate of 0.5% of the total payroll, and is collected monthly via PAYE.
Levy funds will expire 24 months after they enter your digital account, unless you spend them on Apprenticeship training.
NON - LEVY
WHAT IS NON-LEVY?
As a non-Levy payer, you will have an annual pay bill of under £3 million
Non-levy paying employers will share the cost of training and assessing their apprentices with government - this is called ‘co-investment’.
THE CO-INVESTMENT
FUNDING
From 1 April 2019 the rate of co-investment will be reduced to 5% for all new apprenticeship starts, with government funding of 95% provided to cover the remaining costs.
As a non-Levy-paying employer, who employs a young (16-18 year old) person, the government will pay you an additional £1,000 over two equal payments after 3 months and 12 months.
